MISSED THESE RELEASES IN ’09…MAKE SURE TO GET THEM IN 2010!!

Whether it was due to your finances, you’d never heard of the artist or their previous album got CRICKETS and you refused to be tricked again (LOL), it is my responsibility to make sure you don’t miss out on these releases that are nothing but spiritual blessings put to music!

  1. George Huff – George released his self-titled follow up to his 2005 debut “Miracles.” If anyone deserves “most improved”, it’s Huff. His last album was ok, but this second gets a standing ovation! It’s been in heavy rotation all this year! WELL DONE!
  2. Claude Deuce – I’ve mentioned this up & comer several times on my blog throughout ’09. Claude Deuce is another male vocalist who really impressed me. If you failed to purchase his debut “Young Elder,” don’t make the same mistake in 2010!
  3. God’s Image – The urban contemporary quartet made me take notice when they blazed the TV screens with a top notch professional video for their dance groove “Get Up.” FINALLY…no more BOOTLEG Gospel videos. But they not only produced a great video, they released a solid debut! My boy Derek Clark brought the HEAT! GET THIS!
  4. The Brown Sisters -The Brown Sisters surprised me. Actually their CD shocked me. Their debut project will put you in the mindset of Witness, but with their “Brown” spin to it. I love this project because no matter what age you are, if you love Gospel music, you will appreciate what this CD has to offer! Don’t sleep on this one!
  5. Melinda WattsMelinda won the title of Gospel Dream in ‘08 and from the looks of it she hasn’t looked back in ’09. Since the release of her debut “People Get Ready” she’s been everywhere! And she doesn’t show signs of slowing down in 2010. I can’t even front. It’s well deserved and she lives up to all the hype.
  6. Karima -I’m adding this one at the last minute. Despite mumblings saying she shouldn’t have left Virtue, Karima’s debut solo album is an urban music lovers dream! It’s not exactly what I expected from her, but it’s a head knocker!! I’ve played this CD for friends who would have never listened to an inspirational album and they actually purchased this one! That says a lot!
